Ajimobi Leads Oyo Delegates To US Africa Trade Forum
The Governor of Oyo State Mr.Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State is expected to lead a delegation from the state to participate at the 7th U.S. Africa Trade and Investment Forum scheduled between May 16 -18 in Chicago.
The organisers of the event, Continental Africa Chamber of Commerce, USA disclosed this in a statement made available to the North America Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in New York on Tuesday.
It said Ajimobi would use the forum to find partners that would help the state develop to its fullest potentials and create quality jobs for the citizens of the state.
The statement added that the governor wanted to turn the state into an agricultural producing state with quality infrastructure.
According to the statement, the state is ideal for farming for food security and production of raw materials for industries.
It said the forum would go beyond networking, adding that it was designed to be a face-to-face engagement opportunity for U.S. and African businesses to achieve results.
It said American companies from Chicago, the state of Illinois, Midwestern states among others had been invited to meet the delegation from Oyo state.
