NDDC Boss Advocates Review Of Ascon Curriculum
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is to strengthen relations with the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, (ASCON) on staff capacity building. Also as the Managing Director, Dr. Christian Oboh has sues for has advocated for a review of the college curriculum to meet emerging challenges.
Oboh was speaking last Friday during a courtesy call on him by the South-South Zonal Coordinator of the college, Mr. Mike Wetode in the Commission’s Headquarter, Port Harcourt.
The NDDC boss emphasized that the Commission’s position was anchored on the changes in project delivery approach, which he added must reflect in the training programmes for staff with a view to achieving excellence.
“You find out that governance and even projects delivery pattern is changing, so also our dreams. Let your curriculum reflect all that in the training you arrange for staff” the Managing Director said.
The Commission, he explained further, considers the college as a major partner in its development drive and would continue to solicit its assistance in training staff to meet its needs.
In his speech, the South-South zonal co-ordinator of ASCON, Mr. Mike Wetode commended the NDDC for its interest in staff capacity building, stating that the College was desirous of a sustained partnership with the Commission
