Methodist Church Advises Lawmakera
The Methodist Church Nigeria, Baen Circuit in Khana Local Government Area, Rivers State, has implored the member representing Khana constituency I in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Legbosi Nwidadah to attract laudable projects that will benefit the generality of the people of his constituency
The Presbyter of the church, Rev J.N Neebara gave the challenge at Baen, in Khana Local Government Area, last weekend, during a reception organised in honour of Hon Nwidadah.
Rev Neebara congratulated Hon Nwidadah over his victory at the last general election and described the lawmaker as “an expected political messiah and selfless leader that is ready to get rid of excessive bureaucracy and anything that is redundant and left over”.
The church expressed satisfaction with his proactive approach to the Boko Haram issue, which led to the rescue of Rivers indigenes in Maiduguri, Bornu State capital.
According to him, the reception was in recognition of Hon Nwidadah’s track record of dedicated service to the people of Ogoni.
The church also urged the lawmaker to always seek God’s presence and direction in his political journey.
In his remark, Hon Nwidadah, thanked the church for the honour and promised to give the people of his constituency accountable leadership.
Hon Nwidadah said the process of lawmaking was collective, adding that he looked up to the good advice of the people to attract development projects to his constituency.
Hon Nwidadah a devout Methodist also commended the church, for producing two state lawmakers, the immediate past deputy speaker, Hon Dum Deekor, and himself within this political dispensation.
