Education Is Nation’s Bedrock – Commissioner
Education has been described as the bedrock for the development of every nation.
The declaration was made by the Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources, Dr. Dawari George, while playing host to some students on Industrial Attachment in the Ministry.
He charged them to take their assignments seriously as future leaders of their families and the nation assuring that their complaints about need for practical engagements in order to garner experience would be taken care of as soon as more operational vehicles were procured by the ministry.
Dr. George said, the Ministry would not be able to pay allowances at the moment because of financial constraints but would do something as soon as the situation improves.
The students, who were in the Commissioner’s Office to lend their support, had earlier, complained of not having access to facilities in order to have relevant experiences needed and the Ministry’s inability to pay allowances.
The group spokesman, Mr. Bright Kpoma expressed satisfaction with the Commissioner’s assurance and promised to be law- abiding.
