Mrs Amaechi Mourns Hon Nsiegbe
Wife of Rivers State Governor Dame Judith Amaechi has described as barbaric the gruesome murder of a former lawmaker Hon. Charles Nsiegbe.
Mrs. Amaechi in a statement on Monday and signed by her Media Assistant Dike Bekwele said the gruesome murder of Hon. Nsiegbe is the height of injustice against humanity.
The Rivers first lady wonders why a harmless citizen will be killed for just no cause. The Governor’s wife said the killing of Hon. Nsiegbe at a time all reconciliatory effort has resulted in total return of peace to the state is very embarrassing. She described Hon. Nsiegbe as a gentleman who has contributed to the development of Rivers State.
She condoles with the family and prays God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Meanwhile, the Governor’s wife has called on women in the state to pray for the family during the yuletide season.
The Rivers First Lady described this period as very delicate to families and urged women to intercede for one another’s families, adding that the government on its part will ensure the safety of lives and property. She called on individuals including unrepentant kidnappers to turn a new leaf and seek salvation in Christ as the year comes to a close.
