RSG Restates Commitment To Educational Dev In Communities
The Rivers state Government has pledged to ensure that every community in the state benefit from its educational programme.
The State Governor Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi said this during the grand launch of Reach Out Nigeria, 2009 and the unveiling of the October edition of Rhapsody of Realities in Port Harcourt.
The governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Environment Hon. Kingsley Chinda described the General Overseer of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome as one of the greatest men of God the country has produced.
He said that the state government would ensure that every Rivers man is given copies of Rhapsody of Realities and urged members of the church to emulate the life of the founder of the church.
In his welcome address, the South-South zonal Pastor of the Believer Love World an arm of Christ Embassy Evangelist (Dr) Eddy Owase said that the Reach Out Nigeria campaign which commenced two years ago, is designed to preach the gospel around the world.
“As our vision is taking God’s divine presence to the nations of the world and reach more people with the gospel of Christ”.
He also said that the programme is meant to instill the virtue of patriotism among Nigerians.
In his words, “Our arm and focus with the campaign is to give back to our nation all she has given to us and to be a source of creating and igniting patriotism and nurture the seed of nation building.
The church has already commenced the distribution of 2.5 million copies of Rhapsody of Realities to Rivers people while 10 million copies were made available to the rest of Nigerians.
The zonal pastor who flagged off the distribution expressed optimism that more souls will turn to Christ.
