Group Plans Peace Convention In Abua/Odual
The African Youth Foundation for Peace and Community Development in collaboration with the Rivers State Directorate of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), is organising the 1st Abua/Odual Peace Convention.
The convention will commence Sunday, July 19 and end on July 25.
A statement from the President of the Group, Dr George Ela, indicates that the week-long event will feature a peace rally symposium, lectures, drama, seminars and workshops as the “Pathway to Peace in the Niger Delta Region”.
Free medical service will also be offered to widows and school children of 12 years and below, at the event slated for the
Agbebi Memorial State School, Assemby Hall, from 3.00pm daily
