APC’ll Disgrace PDP In Rivers -Abe
The Senator Representing Rivers South East in the National Assembly, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will disgrace the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the next general elections in the country.
Abe, who stated this on Wednesday when he visited Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area as part of his ongoing ‘Thank You Visit To His Constituency’, noted that politics in Rivers State will be redefined and allow the people to be the determining factors.
The lawmaker raised alarm that some Abuja base Politicians are planning on how to mortgage the future of the state by selling the state, urging the people to resist every attempt by the enemies of the state to mortgage the future of the people.
According to him, “I came to thank all of you especially for the support you have been giving the party, Governor, Rt. Hon Chibuike Amaechi and me. I am also happy that you are still together and the APC is intact.”
He reminded the people that Governor Amaechi likes the people of Opobo/Nkoro, that was why he built roads, sand-filled the areas, built schools and sent some of children to overseas under scholarship, adding that the present administration has eliminated political middle men who make business from the community.
“What happens in Nigerian politics is that political middlemen sit in the middle between the government and the people, pocket all that was to come to the community and enrich themselves.
Amaechi now brought dividend of democracy directly to you and eliminated middlemen, The education, schools, health centres, roads, sand filing he had built were some money the middle men were collecting on your behalf, but the governor decided to execute it directly, that is why they are against him”, he said.
Abe said, the middle men are not happy that Amaechi has kept them out of business, hence they are fighting him.
According to him, these politicians are now in Abuja collecting money to sale Rivers State and come back to promise the people that they are fighting for the interest of the state.
He urged the people to fight and resist all attempt by this people to sale Rivers State as he advised the people to vote wisely.
The lawmaker, however, presented over 1,000 wrappers to women of the area and also empowered party members of the 10 wards of the local government area for the support for the APC. This brings the beneficiaries of the programme to a total of 8,900 women.
