Two In Court For Arson
The Enugu State Po
lice Command on Monday, arraigned one Paul Okefi, 65 and Amaechi Ugwu, 53 of Umulumgbe community in Udi local government area of the state, before an Enugu Magistrate Court for alleged assault and damage to property.
The Police Prosecutor, Mr. Emmanuel Ajogwu, told the court that the two men were arraigned for assaulting one Daniel Okefi and destroying his fence.
He said that the mater was reported at the central police station, Enugu on May 4th, by one Emmanuel Okefi, a brother to the complainant.
The prosecutor said that the accused persons assaulted and inflicted injury on the complainant over a parcel of land.
Ajogwu added that the accused also pulled down the fence in the complainants’s compound.
