Customs Seeks Police Support On Fiscal Laws
The new Customs Area Comptroller of Federal Operations Unit, Zone “A”, of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Ikeja, Mr Isa Nuhu, last Tuesday, appealed to the Police to support the unit in its task to achieve its fiscal responsibilities.
Mr Isa Nuhu made the appeal when he visited the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, in Lagos.
Nuhu said that the visit was to improve on the working relationship between the NCS and the Nigeria Police.
“This is an opportunity to say that a good cordial relationship exists between all the security agencies.
“I promise to extend the relationship to a higher level.
“If we go by history, the NCS is behind the Nigeria Police and that is why we have come to seek for your synergy,” Nuhu said.
Manko said that he felt honoured by the visit and congratulated Nuhu as the new comptroller of the NCS’s Federal Operations Unit.
He said that although the NCS and the Police had different roles, they were the same because both ensured the full implementation of government laws.
Manko assured Nuhu of the continued support of the Police to achieve the required results in his unit.
