WAEC Urges Candidates To Collect Certificates

Examinations Council (WAEC), has called on candidates whose certificates are still with the council to come and collect them.
Making the call in an exclusive interview in his office in Port Harcourt, recently, the Zonal Coordinator of WAEC, Mr Uduak Humphrey said “there are many certificates of candidates uncollected.
“Almost all the years are there, we have the recent ones and the 90s. The only ones that are few are those of the 80s.
“Those of the 1990s, 2000 and above are all there, people are encouraged to come and collect theirs, he said .He, however, added that affected candidates would be required to pay specific amount of money before they can collect their certificates.
According to him, the amount to be paid will be dependent on how long the council had kept it safe.
Those who have left their certificates uncollected that is for private candidates are going to pay more now because we’re been calling people to come and collect their certificates”, he said.
The Zonal Coordinator explained that for schools, the certificates are sent to the schools in bulk.

Education Commissioner Seeks media collaboration in Rivers
The River State Commissioner for Education, Dr Peters Nwagor has called on media practitioners in Rivers State to deploy their various communication platforms toward promoting government programmes and policies aimed at achieving sustainable development in the education sector.
