Three Pupils Bag Director’s Scholarship
The Director of Ema Des Academy, Borikiri, Port Harcourt, Mr Alfred Jack, has awarded scholarship to three pupils of the school for their academic excellence in class for three terms.
The students are Benedicta Ozoko, Joseph Jonah and Miracle Wakama.
Mr Jack, who announced the award during the end of session/award ceremony held recently said the philosophy behind the formation of the Academy had been to give the pupils quanlitative education of excellence.
According to him, education is the bedrock of societal development and as the Academy was founded on the foundation of impacting knowledge to the future leaders of tomorrow, they are poised to take education to greater heights.
The Director, who is also the Proprietor of the school noted that it is the desire of the management to create civilisation through education, pointing out that with the quality of the teachers, who are the surrogate parents of the pupils, the schools would continue in raising the standard of education, and appealed to parents and guardians to ensure prompt payment of school fees inorder to encourage the management sustain their dream of giving the young minds academic excellence.
In his speech, the chairman of the occasion, Mr Johnson Jama commended the management and teachers of the school on their academic performance and enjoined them to sustain the tempo for a better society.
Mr Jama, who is also the chairman of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of the school however called on the parents to assist the school at all levels, and appealed to the children to shun all acts inimical to the society as leaders of tomorrow.
In a vote of thanks, the Public Relations Officer of the school, Mr Ben said the vision of the school had been to give the children best knowledge through education in this 21st century and highlighted the achievements of the school since its inception.
He assured that they would maintain the standard set and thanked all for making the occasion a huge success.
