Board Member Eulogises Fubara
A member of the Board of Directors of Incago River Casava Processing Plant, Hon Ibe Owulo, has showered praises on the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara on his one year monumental achievements.
Owulo, former Leader of Oyigbo Legislative Assembly said Governor Fubara’s true leadership has brought hope, joy and happiness to Rivers people.
He made the assertion during the reception of some defectors across various parties to the Simplified Movement at Afam, Oyigbo recently.
The former Leader hinted that Governor Fubara has been able to unify Rivers people through impactful, purposeful and all inclusive governance.
He further noted that within one year, Rivers people have felt true meaning of governance, saying the completion of Oyigbo- Afam Road, the Port Harcourt Ring Road project,Trans Kalabari Road project, Ogoni-Opobo-Ndoni Unity Road, Elele-Egbeda-Omoku Road, promotion of civil servants and 20,000 housing units just in one year have shown the governor’s total commitment and zeal to transform the State.
He said it takes a great leader with passion like Governor Fubara to do all these just in a year, stressing that today, Rivers people are thanking God for the kind of Governor He gave them.
He noted that the organic support shown by the teeming Rivers people during the recent Simplified Movement across the 23 LGAs shows that the people are with him.
“I can attest to the fact that Rivers people and the entire country are happy with the kind of leadership Governor Fubara is providing to us, leadership that is inclusive, has listening ears, receptive and putting Rivers first. Projects being executed are world class and have direct bearing on the people. The increment in the internally generated revenue and accountability speak volumes. The N4billion matching loan to small scale and medium enterprises can only be done by a God-fearing leader like Governor Fubara. It has been long Rivers people are yearning for this kind of leadership, not dictatorial leadership. Everyone can attest that Governor Fubara is doing perfectly well. .His peaceful disposition is second to none. He has been preaching peace because of his love for Rivers State and those working with him are toeing the same line which is the reason for the achievements being recorded. No meaningful development can thrive in a violent environment. Oyigbo people are fully ready to give him necessary support and collaboration to succeed,” he said.

RSG INAUGURATES ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY COMMITTEE
The Rivers State Government has inaugurated a Central Planning Committee to organize the celebration of the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day (AFRD) in the State.
The committee was formally inaugurated by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Benibo Anabraba in Port Harcourt, last Thursday.
Dr Anabraba who also serves as Chairman of the Committee
highlighted the State Government’s deep appreciation for the sacrifices of Nigeria’s fallen heroes who laid down their lives for the nation’s peace and unity.
“These heroes have given their lives for the security and peace of our nation and deserve to be celebrated. The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is an opportunity to show our gratitude for their sacrifice,” he said.
Dr. Anabraba further extended recognition to all Security Agencies in the State, emphasizing the importance of the event in appreciating their contributions to national security and sovereignty.
The annual Armed Forces Remembrance Day, observed on January 15 across the country is dedicated to remember Nigeria’s departed soldiers and honouring the nation’s veterans.
