Police Release Guidelines For Recruitment Of Constables
The Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission have released preliminary guidelines for the ongoing 2021 recruitment exercise for police constables across the country.
This is contained in a press release signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, yesterday.
The Computer Based Test examinations for the recruitment exercise are scheduled to hold between April 20 and April 21, 2022, at designated centres in the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The NPF enjoined all candidates who had enrolled and attended the physical screening exercise, to check their recruitment status and print their CBT slips, if qualified for the next stage of the exercise.
The examination printout, specifying timelines and designated locations for each candidate, would grant them access to the CBT exercise.
The police said detailed and specific guidelines for each state would be announced soon by the PPROs in all the states and the FCT.
Following, successful candidates for the next stage are to check their application status on https://www.policerecruitment.gov.ng.
According to the statement, the Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Baba, emphasised that the recruitment exercise would be “absolutely free of charge, without any pecuniary obligation”.
The IGP equally assured that the process would be “conducted in the best tradition of transparency and accountability”.
He admonished all applicants to be wary of “online imposters, scammers, and other criminal elements who might want to take advantage of the recruitment process to dupe innocent applicants”.
He, however, warned that anyone found wanting in this regard would be arrested and prosecuted.
The police also provided feedback channels to lodge whatsoever complaints as regards the conduct of the exercise: 08100004507 or support@policerecruitment.gov.ng.
