MFN Tasks New Executive Director On Dev, Support
Muaythai Federàtion of Nigeria (MFN) has tasked the newly appointed Executive Director of International Federation of Muaythai Association (IFMA) Charissa Tynan, to promote and develop Muaythai in all the countries.
The President of MFN, Comrade Paul Egonu, gave the charge yesterday in a telephone interview with Tidesports shortly after she was appointed, saying that it is important for her to use her office to harmonise Muaythai in Africa and support the continent for rapid growth of the sport.
“The Muaythai Federàtion of Nigeria uses this forum to congratulate her on her new appointment and we are very proud of her.
Charissa Tynan, has been thorough and determined in carrying out her duties in the board of IFMA. We trust her ability to positively change the face of the sport “Comrade Egonu said.
It would be recalled that the IFMA World Executive Board met yesterday, in Bangkok, immediately after the IFMA World Championships and important descisions were taken.
Consequently, Charissa Tynan, who has been part of IFMA board since 2005 and made IFMA director since 2014 was unanimously confirmed by the IFMA Executives to assume the position as executive director.
Tynan, has contributed immensely towards the development of IFMA and she has also pledged her commitment to continue to serve IFMA and athletes deligently.
