Nsirim Bags Outstanding Commissioner Of The Year Award
Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim has been conferred with the Outstanding Commissioner of the Year Award by the Garden City Advancement Award 2021.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, in Port Harcourt, yesterday, Nsirim dedicated the award to God and Governor Nyesom Wike, whom he described as the new face of democracy in Nigeria.
He thanked the governor for the opportunity given to him to serve the state.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen, Nsirim said the award was dedicated to God for His grace and the governor who gave provided him the platform to excel.
Nsirim also described the award as a vote of confidence on the media community in Rivers State.
He said Wike was determined to make Rivers State investors’ destination of choice in Nigeria, adding that the ministry would continue to evolve programmes to drive a new narrative in Rivers State.
Earlier, the Convener of the award, Kuyoyo Robinson, had said that over 2,000 nominations were received from across all spectrum of society.
He added that the number was reduced to 20 following a careful and diligent selection process.
