Methodist Prelate Restricts Church Services To Two Hours

The Prelate, Methodist Church, Nigeria, Rev. Dr. Sunday Uche, has called on Christians to continue to join faith in praying ceaselessly against the plague of Covid 19 so that in the next few weeks, the disease would be eliminated.
Dr. Uche who stated this, in a letter to all archbishops and bishops of the Church recently, expressed his empathy on the ravaging Covid 19 which is claiming lives globally.
The Prelate also described the pandemic not only as a threat to the existence of humanity but a brutal challenge to our existence.
Dr. Uche directed that services in all churches would continue unrestricted as sanitizers will be provided at the entrance of all the churches; that all local churches be fumigated with immediate effect, preferably regularly.
The Methodist Prelate further directed the discontinuance of the use of a single Chalice for the administration of the sacrament of the Holy Communion till further notice; that all conveniences, especially toilets, should be thoroughly cleared and disinfected at least twice daily all garbage, stagnant water, weeds and overgrowth should be cleared, adding that services should not exceed two hours.
Dr. Uche who also put a ban on all open air outreaches outside the church forthwith until further notice, called on all to continue intensive prayers and fasting for divine intervention at this critical time of our national and global history.
