Belemaoil To Construct 67km Road Project In N’ Delta Communities
Oil giant, Belemaoil Producing Limited has disclosed plans to construct a 67 km road project across coastal communities in the Niger Delta.
General Manager, Geo-Solutions/Director, Seismic Operations of Belemaoil, S. Akpoduado disclosed this during the 2019 Staff end of year party held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital last Wednesday.
Akpoduado also said the propose road project will pass through major trading centers from Abonnema and Buguma and terminate at the shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean.
He stated: “Belemaoil is the only indigenous company that is comprised of more that 97 percent Nigerians and with her headquarters located where hydrocarbon is produced.
“We are planning a 67 km road project that will lead to the coastline of Niger Delta and will pass through major trading centers from Abonnema and Buguma, ending at the shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean.
“Massive dredging and other engineering activities are currently in progress at strategic locations in OML 55 at presents.
“As some of you may be aware, plan to re-locate the head office of Belemaoil to the prospective area is fast developing as the Federal Government of Nigeria has approved of this plan,”
Akpoduado thanked Nigerians and expatriates for their contributions this year, saying: “We implore you to spend a peaceful and lovely end-of-year vacation and return with new hopes and ideas to improve on the operational standards of the operation in the year 2020.”
He said Belemaoil is a young company that is still growing and developing, noting that despite the challenges that it has tackled this year, the firm is judged by its achievements in the industry rather than its financial status or bank statement.

RSG INAUGURATES ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY COMMITTEE
The Rivers State Government has inaugurated a Central Planning Committee to organize the celebration of the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day (AFRD) in the State.
The committee was formally inaugurated by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Benibo Anabraba in Port Harcourt, last Thursday.
Dr Anabraba who also serves as Chairman of the Committee
highlighted the State Government’s deep appreciation for the sacrifices of Nigeria’s fallen heroes who laid down their lives for the nation’s peace and unity.
“These heroes have given their lives for the security and peace of our nation and deserve to be celebrated. The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is an opportunity to show our gratitude for their sacrifice,” he said.
Dr. Anabraba further extended recognition to all Security Agencies in the State, emphasizing the importance of the event in appreciating their contributions to national security and sovereignty.
The annual Armed Forces Remembrance Day, observed on January 15 across the country is dedicated to remember Nigeria’s departed soldiers and honouring the nation’s veterans.
