Firm Donates Books To Host Communities
As part of its ongoing effort to upgrade the educational development of the youths of the host communities, Green Energy International Limited, the operator of the Otakikpo Marginal Field in OML 11, has embarked on distribution of exercise books to all primary UBE and secondary schools in Ikuru Town, its host community and the Andoni Local Government communities.
Under its scheme titled “Back to School” Exercise Books Campaign in Rivers State”, exercise books worth millions of naira are also being distributed to other communities of Ugama Ekede, Ayama Ekede, Asuk Oyet and Asuk Ama.
Andoni Community schools, including Ngo Ataba, Oboterim, Dema, Ebukuma, Asarama, Unyeada, Agwut-obolo, Unyeangala, Egbormong, Egwede and Nyeoron were also included.
The Community Relations Manager of the company, Mrs. Ibioku Amachree, while addressing the Headmasters and Principals of the benefitting schools, said the ceremony was part of the company’s gesture to improve education in its host communities.
