Wike’s Re-Election, Victory For Rivers People, Democracy – Monarch
The Traditional Ruler of Ele Kingdom in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State, King Felix Tamunoseipirila Okuru VII, has described Governor Nyesom Wike’s re-election as a victory for the people of Rivers State and democracy.
King Okuru, who made the assertion while speaking with our correspondent in Port Harcourt said victory of Governor Wike did not come to him as a surprise because everybody had been praying for him as he is the people’s choice.
The traditional ruler expressed optimism that Governor Wike’s second tenure would experience tremendous project delivery and enjoined the people of the state to join hands and give the governor massive support to further carry the state to an enviable height.
He also thanked God for the election victory of the senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District, District, Senator George Thompson Sekibo and the House of Assembly member representing Ogu/Bolo Constituency, Rt Hon Evans Bapakaye Bipi, whom he said are true sons of the soil and wished them well in their various assignments as law makers.
The traditional ruler disclosed that the people of the area were very excited over the victory of Governor Wike, because they voted massively for him.
King Okuru also used the forum to assure the governor of their total support to his administration and appealed for the recognition of Ele stool provision of portable drinking water, electricity Health Centre, School and internal roads.
