Registrar Tasks Varsity Staff On Dedication
The Registrar of the Rivers State University (RSU), Port Harcourt, Mr Sydney Enyindah, has enjoined staff of the institution to be dedicated to duty.
Enyindah made the call When he received in audience members of Wezina Workers Union working in the university who paid him a congratulatory visit, last Thursday over his recent elevation as the new Registrar of the University
He told members of the group who are his kinsmen working in the university that dedication and commitment to duty were tied to success in every one’s life
According to him, every one has the right to aspire to any position but only God gives position at an appointed time
“My appointment is an indication that anybody can aspire for any position in his or her choosen carrier, but God has the final decision,” he stated
The RSU Registrar thanked members of the group for the visit and described it as timely even as he asked them to assist him to succeed in his new assignment
Speaking on behalf of the association, the coordinator of the association, Prof. Gladson Nwokah noted that the visit was to honour their member who was recently elevated to the pinnacle of his career.
Prof. Nwokah described Mr. Enyindah’s appointment as “solely divine”, stating that for their son to rise to the rank of Registrar is a testimony that Ogbakiri (Wezina) is in God’s plan.
He urged the new Registrar to be resolute and use his wealth of administrative experience to discharge his duty, assuring him of the support of members throughout his tenure.

Education Commissioner Seeks media collaboration in Rivers
The River State Commissioner for Education, Dr Peters Nwagor has called on media practitioners in Rivers State to deploy their various communication platforms toward promoting government programmes and policies aimed at achieving sustainable development in the education sector. Dr. Nwagor made the appeal when members of the Etche Ethnic Practicing Journalists (EEPJ) paid him a courtesy visit in Office in Port Harcourt. The Commissioner emphasized the strategic role of the media in shaping public perception, promoting government initiatives, and supporting policies capable of improving the quality of education and human capital development in the state.
