Joint Estate Owners Partner Rumuekini On Dev
The University of Port Harcourt Garden Services, the Gate Way International Church and Association of Resident Doctors have pledged to partner with the Rumuekini Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area for the speedy development of their Joint Estate.
Secretary of the University Garden Service, Mr Kwamina Orukotan disclosed this in an interview with newsmen during the formal handing over of the estate to the University Garden Services the Gateway International Church and Association of Resident Doctors.
Mr Orukotan who said that the development of the estate would add value to the community also stressed the need for them to restrain their youths from further vandalisation of properties at the estate.
He also used the occasion to commend the Chairman of the Joint Estate, Professor Henry Alapiki, Engr John Okoh of Gateway International Church as well as Dr Elikor and Dr Ikenga of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) for their efforts towards the resolution of the issue.
Orukotan also urged individual owners of the various plots to begin the processes of developing their plots while also commending the Rumuekini families for their wisdom in resolving the crisis with the Joint Estate Owners.
Also speaking, administrator of the estate, Barrister Augustine Chimezie Nwosu said that the estate with several plots of land was jointly owned by the University Garden Services, the Gateway International Church and Association of Resident Doctors.
He said that with the successful handover, the estate would now be developed.
