RSG Constitutes Integrity Audit
Rivers State Government has inaugurated an integrity audit to look into the contravened three storey building at borrow pit at Odili Road, Port Harcourt.
The permanent secretary ministry of Urban Development and Physical Planning, Dr Anthony Chukwuladi Nweyilobu, during the inauguration, charged the audit team which is made up of engineers from the building industry to conduct thorough investigation into the three storey building at Borrow-Pit, Odili Road, Port Harcourt which was meant for school and ascertain its fitness to contain the capacity of pupils and facilities.
Dr Nweyilobu urged the team to discharge their assignment diligently without fear or favour and submit its findings to the ministry.
Responding, the leader of the team, Prof. Kingdom Abam, who is also the President of the Nigerian Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment, Rivers State Chapter, on behalf of his team promised to discharge their duties diligently.
Prof. Abam, therefore, instructed the builders to submit to the ministry all documents pertaining to the building for thorough investigation.
Responding, the contractor handling the project, Mr Sokari lkiriko, thanked the permanent secretary in the ministry for taking preventive measures and promised to work cooperatively with the audit panel.
