Union Leader Vows To Protect Interest Of Members
The newly elected President of the National Union of Asalga students (NUAS), Comrade Kenneth Dokubo, has promised to protect the interest of students from Asari-Toru Local Government Area.
Comrade Dokubo who said this shortly after the election of the new executive of the union in Port Harcourt said that his executive will protect the rights of the students as well as ensure that whatever was due to Asalga and the entire Kalabari students is given to them.
Also speaking, the National President Federated Union of Kalabari Students (FUKS) National Secretariat, Comrade Abesaki Alex, who performed the inauguration of the new executive also advised them to be committed to the ideals of the union.
In his own address the Chairman Electoral Committee of the union, Comrade Rosary Minini Braide, commended the immediate past executive of the union for job well done.
Braide said that the immediate past executive had driven the union to its present condition and advised the newly inaugurated executive to improve upon what its predecessors had done.
The Electoral Committee Chairman further said that as the apex union of Asalga students, they must remain as the centrepetal force to attract all Asalga students.
Those elected are, Kenneth Dokubo President, Idoye Samuel, Vice President and Ishmael Dokomute T. as Secretary.
The rest are, Agolia Precious Financial, Secretary, Jenewari Obele Samuel Treasurer, Muigeorge S. Esther Public Relations Officers, Tubobunimi O. Victory, Director of Social and Robinson West Nyowari, Auditor.
Elected as Senators are; Rt. Hon. Ibama Datonye Senate President, Hon. Cotterel Amieibiibama Deputy Senate President Hon. Owukuo Emmanuel as Chief Whip.
