Provost Urges Community To Maintain Peace, Unity
The Provost, Rivers State College of Health Science and Technology, Prof. Franklin Nlerum has called on the people of Oro-owo community in Rumueme, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state to embrace peace and show love to one another.
Prof. Nlerum made the call during the Oro-owo end of year party held at the community’s town hall recently.
He specifically advised the leaders who represent the four families of Oro-owo community to always ensure that peace, love and unity reigns amongst them, saying, “Unity brings progress and development to any community.”
The Provost who was the special guest of honour at the event urged youths of the area to take their studies seriously, describing education as the key to success.
He assured that those who are interested in studying in the institution would be assisted as long as they remained peaceful at all times and possess the requisite qualification.
In his remark, the Chairman, Community Development Committee (CDC) of Oro-owo, Amadi ThankGod expressed appreciation to all those that attended the event, saying during his tenure, the Oro-owo Football Club of Rumueme won a the Chief Dappa Biriye Football Cup.
