RCCG, Seed Of God Parish Celebrates Women Thanksgiving
A cleric, Pastor (Mrs) Joy Arogunyo has advised women to be resilient and steadfast in all spheres of life particularly in issues of their spirituality, to effect a positive change in their families and society.
Arogunyo gave the advice while delivering a sermon at the grand finale of the Good Women Thanksgiving service held at the Seed of God Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Rivers Province 8 in Port Harcourt, recently.
According to her, there is need for women of all ages to prayerfully wait and endure situations no matter the challenges and confrontations they face. “We, women should endeavour to be very prayerful and always wait on the Lord in time of need and any situation we are in.
“We are to be unbeatable, unconquerable and never quit in any place we find yourselves, both spiritually and in family. We should always pray for members of our families”, she admonished.
On the theme of the programme tagged: Unstoppable Victory, Pastor Arogunyo encouraged all women to always set their eyes and goals on finishing in a positive and victorious note.
“For a woman to have unstoppable victory, she has to be on God’s side, as it is only God that can guarantee complete victory, and in essence making us winners, champions and triumphant.
She enjoined women to be unflinching in their faith in God and also to never give up in attaining wisdom in all spheres of life, adding that wisdom can be gotten essentially by reading books mostly bordering on spiritual matters.
“We women should read a lot of books to acquire knowledge that will be useful to us and our family, especially those that concerns our spiritual life”, she said.
This year’s edition of the RCCG, Seed of God Parish, Good Women Weekend started on Thursday, November 1 and came to an end with the Thanksgiving service last Sunday, in which the women of the Church came out to celebrate the goodness of God in their lives, and families.
