FGBMFI Vows To Monitor Public Institutions
As part of efforts by religious organisations to contribute to nation building, the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI) says they would set up mechanism to monitor and evaluate the activities of public institutions in the country.
FGBMFI National President, Architect Ifeanyi Odedo, disclosed this in Port Harcourt, weekend while speaking at the public presentation and inauguration of two eminent chapters of the organisation.
The two new chapter that were inaugurated include; the Presidential Eminent Chapters and the Garden City Eminent Chapter, led by Engr Pius Okeadinma and Hon. Austin Nwakoh, respectively.
Odedo, who described the theme of the event: “Strengthening Public Institutions” as a wake-up call for the Church in Nigeria, said the organisation will develop a blueprint to achieve its vision for public institutions in the country. He said: “The topic discussed is a wake-up call for the Church to arise and pick up our role in nation-building. The Church must have concrete plans when it comes to addressing the question in public institutions; strengthening them.
“It is going to be a very deliberate, conscious effort. We are going to have what looks like a blueprint to pursue this. It will start with vision; from vision, it will move to structure. From structure, it will move to human capacity building.
“We are going to build capacity and from there we are going to move unto roles and functions. What should the Christian be doing in the market place? Then move into monitoring and evaluation. We hold people accountable.
