APC Crisis: Dogara Hosts PDP Members, Distributes 40 Motorcycles
The Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bogoro LGA chapter in Bauchi State, Mr. Daniel Komo, has disclosed that they were hosted by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara when they paid a solidarity visit following the All Progressives Congress, APC, endless crisis.
Komo confirmed that Dogara distributed to the PDP supporters about 40 unit of motorcycles to ease their transportation difficulties.
The chairman confidently told our correspondent in an exclusive interview in Bauchi that there was the need for Dogara to quit the APC in view of crisis in the party.
“The only PDP state assembly member representing Bogoro constituency state constituency, Mr Markus Makama initiated the solidarity visit to Dogara being our son who was voted for by all and sundry.
“However, the solidarity is meant to save Dogara’s political career following APC crisis as there is no permanent friend neither enemy in politics,” said Komo.
The visit, Komo added, is to prevail on Dogara to come back to PDP where he belongs than for him to continue staying in the APC.
He stressed that Dogara will enjoy PDP waiver to even contest election in 2019 if he eventually agrees to dump the ruling party in no distant time.
“We can’t disown him just because he dumped PDP for APC in the build up to the 2015 elections, we need him. Even though our people had complained that the Speaker later distanced himself, yet he is our own and we want him to join PDP,” he added.
It would be recalled that Dogara, had during his thanksgiving service in COCIN church centre in Tafawa Balewa, attributed his emergence as Speaker to the Sultan of Sokoto, thereby attracting mixed reactions from his constituents.
The PDP chairman described Dogara as better political material in nation-building, but wondered why the APC is out to allegedly rubbish him because he stands for the truth.
He therefore maintained that the doors are open for the Speaker to come back home and obtain PDP membership card.
Komo urged PDP supporters in Bogoro to remain calm, expressing confidence that the party will soon receive the Speaker to its fold.
