Edo Renews Commitment To Partner Private Investors
Edo State Government has renewed its commitment to promote Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) to attract investors.
Governor Godwin Obaseki said this while inaugurating Paxherbal Biogas and Mushroom Spawn laboratory on Monday in Ewu, Esan Central Local Government Area.
Represented by his deputy, Mr Philip Shaibu, Obaseki said the herbal clinic and research laboratory complement the efforts of the government to improve the health of the people.
He said the facilities would also contribute to the transformation of the socio-economic landscape of the state.
According to him, the state government will support private research institutes to facilitate the technological and agricultural advancement of the state.
He tasked the management of the institute to continue its research in herbal medicine, an area it had distinguished itself, and to also focus on training to spread the knowledge.
Obaseki assured the people of Esan that the state government would meet with the federal agencies in charge of the Benin-Auchi expressway to ensure that it was completed, to ease movement in the area.
Earlier, during a tour of the facility with the governor, the Director of Paxherbal, Fr Anselm Adodo, urged the state government to collaborate with the institute to increase its capacity for job creation.
