Nigerian Player Scores In Belgium
Nigeria forward
Godwin Saviour scored to inspire KSV Roeselare win 2-0 at Belgian second division leaders Lierse and they are now second on the table just a point behind the team they beat.
Saviour scored his third goal of the season for Roeselare after 24 minutes, before his club doubled their advantage in the 78th minute.
The Nigeria Olympic international has been the spark Roeselare needed to get their campaign back on track after stuttering start to the season.
He has most certainly lived up to his name – Saviour.
Since a heavy 4-1 loss at Tubize last month, Roeselare have won their last four straight league matches with Saviour the main catalyst for this amazing run.
On Wednesday, they welcome Lommel United, who they have defeated away 2-1.
