Re-Election:Banigo Hails Obuah
The Rivers State Deputy
Governor, Dr Ipalibo Harry Banigo, has hailed the re-election of Bro Felix Obuah as the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), at the just-concluded State Congress of the party, describing him as a grassroots mobilizer.
Banigo, in a press statement issued by her Press Secretary, Pastor Paul Damgbor, said the state executive of the party under his watch has been able to turn around the fortunes of the party, by repositioning it as a grassroots-based political party in the state.
She commended party faithful and delegates for their peaceful deposition during the congress, adding that PDP-led government will continue to consider the over-all interest of the people above self, and will ensure that the state was given its pride of place in the comity of states as the hydrocarbon hub of Nigeria.
The deputy governor thanked members of the party for their peaceful conduct at the various levels of the congress beginning from the wards, local government and the state.
Banigo further charged the newly elected executives to see their positions as a call to service while remaining committed and focused to the growth of the party.
