RSG Clears Illegal Traders From Streets, Roads In PH
The Rivers State Min
istry of Urban Development and Physical Planning has taken its clearing of illegal traders away from streets and roads in Port Harcourt to Abali Park axis of Mile One Diobu.
Our correspondent reports that officials of the ministry dislodged illegal traders along Sangana Street and the street connecting Sangana and the Abali Park.
Commissioner for Urban Development and Physical Planning, CHINYERE IGWE, during the exercise, said the Wike led government was poised to restore sanity and good environment within Port Harcourt and its environ.
He warned the traders to go into the markets to avoid problems with his ministry.
Some of the traders, who spoke to our correspondent, said there are no enough spaces in the markets to accommodate them.
Our correspondent reports that the ministry officials, who burnt wooden shops of the traders trading along the roads, also dislodged traders trading along roads in Old GRA axis, including those at the front of Braithwaite Memorial Hospital (BMSH).
