2000 Undergo Digital Job Training
The Federal Ministry of
Communication Technology in collaboration with Cross River State Ministry of Information and Communication Technology has organized a two-day free digital job training workshop for 2000 youths across the state.
According to the Director of e-government, Federal Ministry of Communication Technology, Mr. Ekworo Macdonald Udeze, the programme was a continuation of the Digital Jobs Africa initiative which started since 2014 for the whole country adding that there was need to complete it in the remaining 19 states.
Mr. Udeze said the workshop was aimed at exposing participants on how to access online jobs and lauded the initiative which was incorporated during the National Council on Communication Technology meeting held in Balyelsa State in September 2014, in furtherance to empower the youths in different states of the federation on how to acquire online jobs.
Mr. Udeze emphasized that the participants would have a firsthand training on accessing these jobs and making the best out of them, adding that registration on the platforms was free.
He disclosed that about 1000 jobs were available online daily on various platforms with impressive monthly incomes and urged the youths to key into the programme.
Speaking, the Commissioner of Information and Communication Technology, Chief Ebirigor Offue Aya, congratulated the Federal Ministry of Communication Technology in partnership with the Rockefeller Foundation for the training programme and urged the participants to grab this golden opportunity and give their undivided attention as they would be drilled on how to access jobs online.
