NURTW Seeks Review Of Members’ Conditions Of Service
The National Union of
Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has called for the review of its members conditions of service across the country.
The General Secretary of the union, Comrade Clement Wetkur stated this in his report on the activities at the recently concluded Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting at its NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja.
Wetkur said the approval of the CWC is necessary to boost morale of the union members, adding that the last review of the staff Regulations and condition of service was last done in 2007.
He urged the CWC of the union to implement the annual increment of every staff of the union, subject to satisfactory work conduct and good manner.
The union scribe added that the CWC of the union has set standards for the union members who are dedicated and hardworking, stressing that such staff will be promoted as a reward for his or her commitment and loyalty to the union.
He urged members to be productive and make meaningful contribution to the progress of the union, stressing that the union can only move forward through their cooperation, solidarity and understanding of members.
