Obolo Youths Ready To Work With Wike
A social-political organisation in Andoni Local Government Area, the Obolo Youth Congress has expressed its readiness to work with the new government in Rivers State to bring development to Andoni.
The congress which disclosed this at a press briefing in Port Harcourt also described Governor Ezenwo Wike and his deputy Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo harry as leaders sent by God to rescue Rivers State from it present level of underdevelopment.
The National President of the congress, Comrade Mgbo-Owaji M. Augustus also said that the youth are happy with the steps taken so for by the new administration to reform the civil service and other critical sectors of the state.
“We congratulate you on your charismatic approach and constructive engagement in resolving critical state issues in the civil service, judiciary and legislature”, he said.
Mr. Augustus also expressed optimism that the Governor will bring his experience as a former Minister of Education to bear in the development of education in the state as well as youth employment to curb youth restiveness and other social vices.
The congress also described the immediate past Deputy Governor of the State Engr. Tele Ikuru as a statesman of the highest order, adding that Engr. Tele Ikuru has not only made the Obolo and the Ijaw nations proud, but his meritorious service to Rivers State and the nation has distinguished him as a statesman of the highest order.
The Congress also use the occasion to felicitate with the newly elected Speaker of the Rivers State house of Assembly Rt. Hon. Ikuinyi Owaji Ibani and the member representing Andoni/Opobo/Nkoro Federal Constituency Hon. Dogomie Abante on their successful election and pledge the support of the youths.
