‘No List Of Buhari’s FEC Members Yet’
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Nigerians to disregard the purported list of the prospective members of the Federal Executive Council, (FEC) currently being circulated in the social media.
The Director-General of the Buhari Campaign Organisation and Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi said this while addressing newsmen on his arrival at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, Monday.
Amaechi said no decision has been reached as to the zoning of offices in the Federal Executive Council.
He said the elders of the party were taking their time to come up with what is best for Nigerians.
The Rivers State governor also confirmed that the incoming administration has decided to set an example in line with the party’s policy of transparency and credibility.
“There is only one meeting the party has held as it concerns zoning of offices, and we have said the elders should go and zone the offices. The elders are yet to return to the party, so, those things you people are doing are speculations.
“We don’t have a choice. If you want to serve in a government, then you have to abide by the rules. And the person that wants to run the government has said that anyone who wants to serve must publicly declare his asset,” Amaechi said.
