Losing hairs as a young woman
can be a disturbing experience, especially when the cause is not known and probably no clue to cure in view. The hair no doubt is consideration important part of how the woman looks, suffice it to say that the hair on the woman’s head contributes to the degree of the woman’s beauty. Hence, there seems to be a social stigma attached to going bald.
Hair loss can affect one’s sensuality and how she perceives herself and there is usually some emotional traumas whenever it is experienced.
Some women have become socially reclusive and have given up enjoyable activities like swimming and visiting the gym for fear of exposing their hair loss in the event of using the changing rooms together. Those who brave it up do so by having their hairs covered for as long as they remain indoors.
Many in a relationship have lost their self worth, feeling it will definitely affect the level of love their partner have for them. Hair loss no doubt, can lead to loss of self confidence and heightened self consciousness.
Hair loss can occur in different ways; general shedding and thinning of the hair can occur few months after a shock to the system, such as extreme stress, fever, childbirth, sudden weight loss, an operation or as a reaction to medication. This type of hair loss is usually temporary.
In female pattern baldness, hair gradually thins, often from the top of the head. It usually gets more noticeable after menopause and tends to run in families.
The next type affects mostly teenagers and young adults. Hair loss is patchy and linked to a problem with the immune system. The hair follicles are not permanently damaged and in many cases, hair grows back in a few months.
For complete loss of hair on the head, regrowth is usually unlikely.
Irrespective of the type involved, one thing that stands out is that over 50 per cent of women experience hair loss more after childbirth.
However, a proven treatment for female pattern baldness is a hair lotion containing monoxide most women see great improvement after using this lotion. They experience either an outright stop to or showing of the balding as well as thicker to 25 per cent of women experience hair regrowth after using it.
All the same, you can address the psychological impact of hair loss by first accepting what has happened as anything that can happen to anyone anybody just like any other sickness. Life will be made easier if you can learn to live with your new look. It is important to promote positively no matter the situation.
Yes it may not be that easy, but try to come to terms with your hair loss and if possible, make it a fashion after all there are ladies who spend money to go bald.
You can also discuss your hair loss early enough with friends, relatives and if possible let them know how you feel about it, who knows, solution may come from any of them and if you think it is beginning to affect your relationship with your partner, going to therapy or couples counselling may also help.
Aside that, you can always wear a disguised look by covering up your hair loss with wigs, hair extensions, scarves and make-ups. Persevere until you find a product and style that suits you.
