NAGAFF Pledges Support For Customs Boss
The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has affirmed its commitment to the administration of Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Dr. Abdullahi Dikko Inde .
Speaking when a high powered delegation made up of Executives paid him a courtesy call on him in Abuja, the President of NAGAFF, Chief Eugene Nweke, assured the Customs boss of its support, trust and confidence in the leadership of the Nigeria Customs Service.
The body passed a vote of confidence in the management team led by Dr Dikko Inde while seeking to strengthen the NAGAFF/Customs relationship.
NAGAFF President also urged the customs boss to grant approval for NAGAFF/Customs Information desk, directly for the immediate re-routing of all consignments trapped at Apapa scanning site to physical examination, and continue with the transformation of the service.
He noted that the administration of Dr Dikko Inde since he assumed office in 2010, Major consistently pursue consolidation of leadership succession, adding that the achievements of customs include accelerated revenue generation, capacity building, training and retraining of officers and men of the service, improved working environment and welfare for officers, as well as positive image projection internationally and locally.
Others include the successful amendment of Customs Exercise management Act (CEMA) 1958, Consolidating the 3 ASYCUDA administration and envisaged migration to Single window Network, and that of establishment of Customs Consultation Committee, among others.
The NAGAFF high power delegates led by Chief Eugene Nweke were received by Dr. Abdullahi Dikko Inde and his management team.
