The Chairman of Oyo State ALGON, Yekeen Popoola, announced this last week in Ibadan while presenting a giant trophy to the Chairman of Oyo State YSFON, Alabi Oluaye.
‘‘With this collaboration between ALGON and YSFON in the hosting of the tournament, soccer fans should lookout for a robust football display,’’ he said.
“ Through the competition, we hope to help the youths in the state to realise their professional aspiration in football,’’ Popoola said.
He said the organisers of the tournament were determined to key in into the transformation agenda of Gov. Abiola Ajimobi bordering on youth empowerment through sports.
In his remarks, Oluaye stated that the tournament would promote healthy living among youths while empowering them for sustainable self-development.
It was gathered that the screening of participants would begin on June 13 and would comply with FIFA standards on transparency.
