Arik Air To Begin Flights To Asaba
The Managing Director of Arik Air, Mr Chris Ndulue, on Tuesday said the airline would begin flights to the new Asaba airport on September 2.
He said the carrier would operate direct flights from both Lagos and Abuja to the new airport.
In a statement, Ndulue said the new route would be the 20th domestic destination served by the airline.
He said a Bombardier Q400 aircraft, with a configuration of 10 business and 62 economy class seats, would be deployed to the route.
“The new services to Asaba International Airport will offer a highly attractive alternative to passengers using the existing flights to Osubi Airstrip, Warri.
“Arik Air appreciates the importance of Delta State in Nigeria’s industrial and economic development as an oil producing state.
“The new services from Lagos and Abuja to Asaba make it more accessible and therefore attractive to long-term investment as well as provide increased services for existing businesses in the area,” Ndulue said.
