Group Hails LG Boss Over Free Exams Registration
The Acting Chairman of Andoni Local Government Council, Rivers State, Hon. Nelson Sylvanus, has been commended for embarking on free WAEC, NECO and JAMB registration for indigenes of the area.
The Deputy Coordinator of the Andoni Local Government Chapter of Amaechi Vanguard, Comrade Justus Ngerebara made the commendation an all interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt.
Comrade Ngerebara said that the move would boast education in the area.
The Vanguard Deputy Coordinator, who described the gesture as the first of its kind in the area advised beneficiaries of the scheme to make best use of the opportunity by giving serious attention to their studies.
He further thanked the council boss for initiating other projects which would go a long way in advancing the lease of development the in local government.
Comrade Ngerebara used the occasion to congratulate the acting chairman on his appointment and pledged the support of the group in achieving more for the people of the local government area.

Education Commissioner Seeks media collaboration in Rivers
The River State Commissioner for Education, Dr Peters Nwagor has called on media practitioners in Rivers State to deploy their various communication platforms toward promoting government programmes and policies aimed at achieving sustainable development in the education sector. Dr. Nwagor made the appeal when members of the Etche Ethnic Practicing Journalists (EEPJ) paid him a courtesy visit in Office in Port Harcourt. The Commissioner emphasized the strategic role of the media in shaping public perception, promoting government initiatives, and supporting policies capable of improving the quality of education and human capital development in the state.
