Proprietress Urges Parents To Invest On Children Education
Parents and guardians have been charged to show adequate commitment in the early school foundation of their children and wards as a step towards guaranteeing their maximum contributions in future endeavours.
The President/Founder, Queenie American International School, D/Line, Port Harcourt Rivers State, Mrs Theodora Queenie Otutu, gave the charge while speaking at the 2010 graduation/award giving ceremony of the school recently.
The proprietress said since education is the bedrock of every society, parents and guardians should endeavour to invest in the education of their children and wards, noting that those who invest in the life of children reap bountifully tomorrow.
She was emphatic that the consequences of not laying a solid education foundation of the children are too grave to contemplate, advising all well-meaning individuals to contribute in shaping the lives of children whom she described as future leaders.
Mrs Otutu noted that “you don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”
“She said her school has better learning environment, better teaching aids, experienced and skilled staff as well as sound management team to direct the affairs of the students to greater height.
She also spoke of the need for parents to allow their children to be actively involved in the school’s royal English classes, saying that the programme is beneficial to the development of the child.
She advised the graduating students to remain good ambassadors of the school and prayed for God’s guidance in their future endevours.
She recalled that the school was established to provide qualitative education in a cozy environment at an affordable fee. She expressed delight that the school since inception has won several laurels.
