LG Boss Bans Youths Activities
The Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Mr. Lawrence Abiebiari has placed an indefinite ban on the activities of Ogu Youth Federation including their planed election of new officers to run the body.
Mr. Abiebiari, who handed down the warning following the negative activities of some youths in the area recently said the decision was taken in order to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
According to him, anybody who violates the order would be dealt with by the law enforcement agents, and warned all youths to be law abiding.
He said that nobody or group of persons should take the law into their hands as his administration would not fold its hands while there is breakdown of law and order in the area.
The Local Government boss further reiterated that security of lives and property must be a collective responsibility, and called for all hands to be on deck to ensure absolute peace in Ogu, the headquarters of the Local Government Area.
He noted that development could only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and order, adding that for peace to reign in the area particularly in Ogu, the election of new officers for the Ogu Youths federation remain banned indefinitely.
