Women Hail LG Boss On Commitment To Peace
The delegation of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward Women Leaders in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, has hailed the sustained commitment of the Local Government Chairman, Chief Tom Aliezi, to peace and development of the area.
The women leaders, who stated this during their courtesy visit to the council chairman, recently, expressed gratitude to God for using Aliezi as an ambassador of peace to restore peace in the LGA.
The women, in their separate remarks, expressed gratitude to God for the emergence of Aliezi as Emohua local government chairman at a time when the area needed security, peace and order.
The women also stressed that the emergence of the council chairman has changed the negative narrative in the area for better, as residents now enjoy peace even in the middle of the night.
They also applauded the council chairman for his kind generosity to the 14 ward women leaders of PDP in Emohua, which they described as the first of its kind since 2012 when they started as GDI women leaders.
The women lauded the council chairman for capturing the 14 ward women leaders in his administration’s empowerment programme, which they admitted, has been very supportive to their respective families.
The women congratulated Aliezi for recognizing their various contributions to the victory of all the PDP candidates at their respective wards at the end of the electioneering campaigns in the 2019 general election.
