Ogoni Killing: Cleric Warns Security Agencies Against Partisanship

Chaplain of the United Nigerians Chaplaincy, Bishop Amadi George has called on the security agencies not to allow themselves to be used as agents of destabilisation/
Bishop George who stated this in an interview with newsmen while reacting on military invasion of Ogoniland said that the action of the men of the military in the invasion of Ogoniland must be condemned by all Nigerians.
The cleric said that lawful means must be used by security agencies in apprehending criminal elements, adding that the senseless killings of innocent people in Ogoni land must be condemned by all.
Bishop George who also spoke on the on-going probe of corrupt officials by the Buhari Administration urged the federal government to extend the probe beyond the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to him, the probe should start from 1983 when President Buhari was head of state.
The cleric also described Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike as God-sent and stressed the need for Rivers people to give him unflinching support.
Bishop George also urged Rivers people to seek the face of God at all times and enjoined the youths in the state to toe the path of peace.
The cleric also urged politicians to unite and join hands with the state government to move the state forward .
