Opobo Women Hold Thanksgiving To Celebrate Fubara’s Victory
Opobo town was agog last Thursday as Opobo/Nkoro People’s Democratic Party Women Prayer Network held a special thanksgiving tagged “ Grateful Hearts” to celebrate the victory of Sir Siminialayi Fubara in the just concluded governorship election in Rivers State.
The women who came from far and near glorified God for the gift of a governor to the Kingdom, adding that every event leading to the victory shows the manifest hand and uncommon grace of God.
In a brief exhortation and prophetic declaration, Evangelist Rachael Minimah noted that when God is involved in a matter, every opposition will naturally bow.
According to her, “Be sure that someday you’ll praise God for your unanswered prayers that once you had wept for them.”
She declared that Fubara’s tenure would witness peace and prosperity in the state, stressing that the victory has given the women more confidence to continue with the prayer programme in order to sustain what God has done.
Also speaking, Mrs. Sotonye Toby Fulton appreciated the women and encouraged them to remain steadfast, especially in praying for the progress of Rivers State in particular and Nigeria in general.
The women further prayed for the peace of the nation, God’s continuous wisdom on Governor Nyesom Wike, the Governor-elect, and other elected leaders for National and State Assembly.
On hand to lead prayers was Pastor Martins Achi while entertainment maestro, Peter Stonecold, led the praise session.
Highlights of the programme were praise, worship, and thanksgiving dance by all the units and wards in Opobo.
