‘Simplified Ladies’ To Mobilise Over 6,000 For Fubara, Others
A pro-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) group in Rivers State, Simplified Ladies, has vowed to mobilise over 6, 000 electorate with Permanent Voter Cards for PDP governorship flag-bearer, Mr Siminialaye Fubara, and other PDP candidates for the general elections.
Speaking with journalists at Degema during the PDP local government campaign rally, the President of the group, Mrs Briggs Ethel, said the group which has members across the 23 local government areas of the state would ensure that Fubara and other PDP candidates in the state coast home to victory at the polls.
Briggs disclosed that simplified ladies had also carried sensitisation on PVC collection among their members and other eligible voters.
She hinted that the group was formed with the intention of working, supporting and ensuring victory for the PDP governorship flag-bearer whom she described as the best man for the job.
Briggs said simplified ladies were fully ready to move from unit to unit and ward to ward with the sole aim of selling PDP candidates especially Mr Fubara in the forthcoming governorship elections.
“We volunteered to support Sim as well as other PDP candidates in the general elections.
“No doubt, Rivers ladies are fully simplified to do the needful come March 11, 2023.
“Our presence is noticed in all nooks and crannies of the state with uncountable members working assiduously to deliver PDP governorship candidate as well as others.
“We are here in Degema to register our unalloyed support for Sim in a unique way.
“The entire Rivers State is simplified. Rivers ladies and women have every reason to vote PDP.
“Women have been recognised and given a voice like never before in the annals of the state, courtesy of Governor Nyesom Wike.
“Governor Wike has carried women along in both elective positions and appointments. In the 23 local government areas, women are vice chairmen and councillors which has never happened in the history of the state.
“Governor Wike remains the new face of Nigerian modern politics and Rivers women are proud to associate with him. Hence, we shall go to any length to reciprocate his kind gesture by voting massively for PDP as well as his preferred presidential candidate”, she said.
Briggs urged Fubara to consolidate on the legacies of Governor Wike when elected, expressing confidence that the PDP governorship candidate will surpass the giant strides of Governor Wike in the areas of women inclusion, infrastructure and empowerment if elected.
