PDP Sure Of Victory, Fubara Affirms
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)guber candidate in Rivers State, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, has said that support so far gotten by the party has shown it would coast to victory on February 25 and March 11.
As far as he was concerned, Opobo/Nkorowas totally for PDP.
In his words: “If it’s Opobo/Nkoro, I will go to sleep, but I want the winning to be all-round”.
Speaking at a crucial party meeting to orientate special advisers to the governor in Opobo/Nkoro, yesterday,Fubara reminded the appointees that they have a task to defend and mobilise the people ahead of the polls.
Fubara said their duties as government appointees start immediately to create synergy and selling of government policies and programmes.
For them to be chosen in their various units, Fubara reminded them that they were ambassadors of the PDP, adding that their commitment has so far indicated that PDP was on ground in the area.
He said: “If you are following me, you are sure of me, you are following somebody who feels your pulse, and that shows you are not making any mistake”.
Fubara, who described the special assistants as liaisons and grassroots link with leadership of the party and government, tasked them to be faithful disciples, as the party under the leadership of Chief NyesomWikewas ready to transform the state.
The Opobo-born guber candidate assured the people of the area of his love and desire to give them purposeful leadership, as he urged all ward executives to ensure they work hard to boost the image of the party.
Highlights of the events include an interactive session with the over 4,300 appointees, who were later given letters of appointment.
