Buhari Seeks Senate’s Confirmation Of Seven Members Of ICPC
President Muhammadu Buhari has requested for confirmation of appointment of seven nominees as members of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The President’s request is contained in a letter read by the President of the Senate, Dr Ahmad Lawan, during plenary, yesterday.
According to Buhari, the request was in accordance with Section 3,Sub-Section 3 of the ICPC Act 2000.
Members of the ICPC nominated by Buhari include,Adamu Bello (North-East); Hayatu Mohammed (Jigawa) North-West; Olubukola Balogun(Lagos) South-West; Obiora Samuel (South-East).
Others are Abdullahi Maikano Saidu(Niger)North-Central; Dauda Yahaya Umar (Nasarawa) North-Central; and Grace Nkechinyere (Delta) South-South.
