Special Projects Commissioner Visits Fire Service Stations
In a bid to key into the New Rivers State Vision, the newly sworn in Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Ndubuizi Okere, has paid unscheduled visits to some fire service stations under his Ministry.
Some of the fire service stations visited include Borokiri, and Mile 1.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the visit, weekend, the Commissioner said the visit was informed by the Amadi Ama incident that occurred on Tuesday in which a substation of Port Harcourt City was gutted by fire
Okere hinted that his prompt intervention to contend with what would have resulted to unimaginable fire outbreak on that day at Amadi Flat, and the synergy among all those concerned saved the situation
Okere further stated that the Tuesday incident at Amadi flat provided him ample opportunity to visit the fire fighting facilities, including their offices.
According to him,”the visitation will provide me ample avenue to know what to take to His Excellency, Chief Nyesom Wike who does not think anything less of security and safety in all he does.
“Suffice it to say that all the impactfull projects Governor Wike has put in place in Rivers State will stand the test of time”, he said.
According to him, Governor Wike’ s unprecedented achievements have placed Rivers State above other States in all ramifications.
Hon Okere noted that Rivers people shall remain grateful to God for bringing Governor Wike when Rivers people needed him most.
He assured “total commitment, unalloyed support to the Governor to lead Rivers State to the level of eldorando”.
The Commissioner further assured that the Ministry of Special Duties under him will work according to the directive of His Excellency to forstall unforseen circumstances.
Okere said he will “awaken the system for good correspondences coming from the offices, in line with the policies of the Governor-Wike led administration.”
